COMFORT INN LAKESIDE, Mackinaw City – A Smart Stay in the City

My stay at the hotel was a mix of good and not so good experiences. The location was convenient, close to the Mackinac Island ferry, and Main Street, but the rooms above the office were a bit of a hassle to access, either through the adjoining Hamilton Inn or a long walk up three flights of stairs. Additionally, some room equipment was out of order, like the juice machine. The service was friendly and helpful, with knowledgeable staff offering useful information and shuttle services, but there were some aspects indicating a lack of investment in the property. The dining experience had a variety of breakfast options, including hot items and pastries, but it fell short of being top-notch. Overall, a stay that had its ups and downs.

The service was courteous and helpful, but housekeeping was lacking as our room was only cleaned twice during our 7-day stay. The location was convenient, close to downtown and with adequate breakfast options, but the absence of a restroom was inconvenient. The dining experience was decent with a variety of breakfast items but the seating area was too small. Overall, a good stay with some room for improvement.

The hotel served its purpose for a one-night stay. The room had a view that I paid for, but the accessibility with my scooter was a bit challenging.
